Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect when you use a HL Healthcare sites, services, mobile applications, products, and content (“Services”). It also has information about how we store, use, transfer, and delete that information. Our aim is not just to comply with privacy law but to do all we can to surpass it, to ensure you have all the information you need to give consent.

Information We Collect & How We Use It

HL Healthcare use cookies to re-target your device with relevant advertising. We use industry standard technologies such as Google DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM) and DoubleClick Bid Manager (DBM). These services are covered by the Google services terms, no data is held by HL Healthcare in regard this, non-personally identifiable data. HL Healthcare cannot identify you personally, nor do we use technology to do so.

In order to give you the best possible experience using HL Healthcare services, we sometimes collect information from your interactions with our services. Some of this information, we collect based on actions you take while using our services, such as the pages you access and the interactions with our products and content (clicking to view a new page or how long you spend reading the content). This information is not held on HL Healthcare servers, we use third-party products such as Google Analytics and Woopra Analytics to work out these metrics

We use these analytics information to generate aggregated, nonidentifying information about how people use HL Healthcare services and to help our clients understand if the content served with us is effective.

Information Disclosure

HL Healthcare will not transfer personal information about you to third parties for the purpose of providing or facilitating third-party advertising to you. We do use Google DoubleClick products to retarget advertising to your machine, based on the services you have consumed and their use of the cookie data is covered in their cookie policy here.

Data Storage

HL Healthcare uses third-party vendors and hosting partners, such as Amazon, for hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology we need to run our services. We maintain two types of logs: server logs and event logs. By using HL Healthcare Services, you authorise HL Healthcare to transfer, store, and use your information in the United Kingdom and any other country where we operate.

When we ask for your personal data, we will always actively inform you of what the data will be used for, who will use it and where it will be stored. You will always have the opportunity, at the time of entry, to decide on which of our partners can use the data in the future.

When we pass your data to these partners, we will show you their Privacy Policy and we will also do all we can to check how they will protect and use your data.

Third-Party Embeds

Some of the content that you see displayed on HL Healthcare services, is not hosted by HL Healthcare. These “embeds” are hosted by a thirdparty and embedded in products. For example: YouTube or Vimeo videos. These files send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly (for example, when you load a HL Healthcare Lightbox with a YouTube video embedded in it, YouTube receives data about your activity). HL Healthcare does not control what data third parties collect in cases like this, or what they will do with it. So, thirdparty embeds on HL Healthcare products are not covered by this privacy policy. They are covered by the privacy policy of the third-party service.

Always make sure you understand who you are submitting your information to and what they say they plan to do with it. We suggest that you do not submit personal information to any third-party through an embedded form unless you can clearly see the companies that will be using it and can find out how they will look after it.

Tracking & Cookies

We use browser cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you return to our Services. We do this to make the products easier to use or to allow us to retarget relevant offers and advertising to you.

Some third-party services that we use to provide the HL Healthcare Services, such as Google Analytics, may place their own cookies in your browser. This Privacy Policy covers use of cookies owned by HL Healthcare only and not the use of cookies by third parties.

Modifying or Deleting Your Personal Information

HL Healthcare uses third-party products to enable advertising tracking and re-targeting. HL Healthcare does not hold this data, our third party vendor does, in this case, that is Google. If you want to remove the cookies we may have used on your computer, you can delete your browser cookies. The next time you see HL Healthcare content, we will ask for your consent to use cookies. You can decide how to proceed at this point.

Data Security

We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee security. You’re responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account.

Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization or sale of assets such that your information would be transferred or become subject to a different privacy policy, we’ll notify you, if we have your contact details, in advance.

Changes to this Policy

HL Healthcare may periodically update this Policy. The most current version of the policy will always be here and we will archive former versions of the policy here.
